The gallery was established in 1994 in Damascus, Syria, with a mission to celebrate and elevate Syrian art. Since its inception, it has actively participated in numerous international exhibitions while also curating a wide range of events and showcases within Syria. Over time, the gallery has grown into a vibrant cultural hub—bridging the gap between artists and audiences, and offering an inspiring window into the richness and diversity of Syrian artistic expression.
From the outset, the gallery has pursued two core goals. The first is to present Syrian art in its most authentic and powerful form, highlighting the nation’s distinct visual language, cultural heritage, and evolving identity—both regionally and globally. The second is to nurture talent across the artistic spectrum, offering a platform not only to young sculptors but also to painters, photographers, installation artists, and creatives from all disciplines and age groups.
To realize this vision, the gallery hosts workshops, grants awards, and fosters collaborations between emerging voices and seasoned professionals. These initiatives encourage artistic growth, stimulate intergenerational dialogue, and contribute to a dynamic, ever-evolving Syrian art scene that embraces experimentation, innovation, and cultural continuity.
